Students return to Wishart on Tuesday, September 6th for a half day. Dismissal will be 11:15 (Note – different time), with school buses picking students up soon after.
On Tuesday, returning students will line-up and return to last year’s classroom and teacher. New Students/Families will meet in the library where they will be placed in temporary classes with students of the same age for the week. During this week we will verify student numbers, register new students and account for any students absent or moved.
On Wednesday and Thursday students will report to last year’s classes where they will be placed in multiage groupings and led through activites prepared by teachers around the theme of “Countries”. Each teacher will focus on a different country and activities will vary as the children move in groups to different classrooms.
Once student numbers are verified and the number and make up of classes is determined, teachers will collaborate on placing students into new classes for the 2011/2012 school year.
The school office will be open for business and new registrations from Monday, August 29 to Friday, September 2 from 8:00 – 3:00. The Principal and Vice-Principal will be in the office on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Wed. Sep. 7 – Full day of School (except Kindergarten students)
Mon. Sep. 12 – Students will be assigned to their new classes
Wed. Sep. 14 – First full day for Kindergarten students. Kindergarten parents were sent an email/letter in June outlining how gradual entry will be organized until the first complete day of Kindergarten on Wednesday, September 14th.
