Congratulations families! Wishart School collected 195 coats during the recent Coats for Kids promotion sponsored by Ms. Brajcich’s Division 3 class. AJ & Crash from Jack FM visited the school to thank the students for their support.

Next Thursday, November 5th, will be the Math Arcade at Wishart. Invitations will come home with students on Monday so mark your calendar now.

November 5th will also be Photo Retake Day. Photos will be taken in the Library at the start of school on Thursday.

Photo Orders – Remember that photo orders must be returned to the school by Thursday, October 29th. Retake Day is Thursday, November 5th.

Fun Food Day – Thursday, October 29th is the first Fun Food Day of the year – Pizza Hut. If you did not return your student’s form you may send money with the child on Thursday.

Coats for Kids – Division 3 (Ms. Brajcich’s class) is coordinating Coats for Kids at Wishart. Please send any gently used coats (child or adult) to the school no later than Friday, October 30th.

H1N1 Flu Virus

September Start Up

Students return to school on Tuesday, September 8th for a half day. Dismissal time will be 11:30, with school buses picking students up soon after. The program for the first week of school will be as follows:

TUESDAY

Returning Students - will line up and return to last year’s classroom and teacher.

New Students/Families – will meet in the library where they will be placed in temporary classes with students of the same age for the week.

Wednesday & Thursday – students report to last year’s class where they will be placed in multiage groupings and led through activities prepared by teachers around the theme of ‘Olympics’. Activities may be healthy living, sport, fair play, team work, art, drama, etc.

Friday – after reporting to last year’s class, students will likely be placed into this year’s classes.

Kindergarten students have a different schedule with graduated start-up. Wednesday, September 16th will be the first regular day for kindergarten students.
